Solar system drawn (not to scale) using CSS3
Alex Girón composed a demo and an explanatory blog post (with source code elements) dedicated to the drawing of the moving solar system using border-radius, CSS animation and CSS affine transformations (namely, animated rotations from 0 ° to 360 °).
In Firefox, this demonstration looks like a motionless illustration:

In webkit browsers (Chrome, Safari), the planets also rotate in their orbits.
