Replacing the cord on the laptop charger with a compact analog

I probably won’t discover America when I say that a modern laptop consumes no more energy from a power outlet than a table lamp. However, manufacturers with manic perseverance make the power cord of the charger so that it is not a sin through it and connect the welding transformer. Probably they are fighting terrorism, so that every owner of the laptop could easily strangle any terrorist who got in his way with this cord, after having stunned him with a blow to the head.
It infuriates everyone, but the situation does not change from year to year.
The solution is simple - we buy a conventional cable for low-power equipment in radio products. Here's one:

The selection criterion is simple - the plug must be molded from soft rubber (it can also be made from hard rubber, but cutting will be more difficult).

    And then everything is simple:
We gnaw out the core with any sharp knife at this connector. We insert it into the place of our native

    And enjoy life.

The middle pin that hangs in the air is ground. It is rare in sockets, and if there is something, it is far from always connected. And if connected, it is far from always right. So it’s not critical :)

And I recommend soldering the L-shaped output plug to a straight line. Because if you pull on the cord, the L-shaped hooks and turns the connector / pulls the laptop from the table, and the straight line just pops up. In this regard, the magnetic latch of the apple laptop feeder cord is unrivaled, but it is tightly patented.
