Incoming SMS to Email?

Why do our operators do not support such functionality? It seems simple and the message archive is maintained? There is a sms + service at the megaphone but there is its own interface and not any connection with the outside world.

I can’t think over the reason why there isn’t one, apparently there is some kind of abuse.

Probably many people want to build a service that allows you to publish something on the site via SMS, but is there really a way only through connecting the phone to the server?
Maybe there are Western operators having such a gateway?
