Red Hat reported record profit

    Red Hat reported on the results of the last fiscal year. According to these data, the American Linux-company recorded a record profit with its flagship solutions based on RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux).

    In the fourth quarter, ending February 28, sales from Red Hat subscriptions amounted to $ 169.2 million, indicating a 21.4 percent increase. At the same time, sales from services and training fell slightly, amounting to USD 26.7 million. Total profit for the fourth quarter increased by 46.3 percent and amounted to 23.4 million USD.

    According to the results of the whole year, total sales grew by 14.7 percent, amounting to 748.2 million USD, and total profit - increased by 10.8 percent, amounting to 87.3 million USD.

    For the next fiscal year (2011), Red Hat plans to increase sales by 12-14 percent to about 835-850 million USD.
