
Extensions for Chrome now work in Firefox

The Mozilla Firefox open source web browser has an add-on that allows you to install extensions of another web browser - Google Chrome.
The so-called "Google Chrome Extensions Manager" (Google Chrome Extensions Manager), published in the official directory of add-ons for Firefox, allows you to install and remove in Firefox extensions that were created for Chrome. Firefox versions from 3.5 to 3.7a1pre are supported, and the current project status is experimental.
The author of the development notes that at the moment in Firefox when using extensions for Chrome, the following are supported: manifest file, pages in the background, options pages, browser actions, content scripts, template matching, the whole API in Firefox for HTML5, part of the Chrome API (browserAction, extension, tabs, windows). Among the features that are not currently supported are bookmarks, pageAction, NPAPI plugins, themes, internationalization, and automatic updates.
