Mozilla has announced the cessation of development of the version of Firefox for Windows Mobile. They blame Microsoft on the corporation itself, which “decided to block the development of native applications” for Windows Phone 7 and it is not clear whether it will release the corresponding SDK.
The developers emphasize that for their part they have done everything possible. All development teams worked fine, but now the process is frozen. Thus, the Firefox browser is unlikely to appear under Windows Phone. “We will continue to focus on things we can control: creating great custom products on Android and Maemo,” they add.
