This is the first part of the review of the new startup: Taxi " Taksolot ".
I want to share with all the new technology, which, without a doubt, will soon become more popular than calling a taxi by phone.
It will be about the application for calling a taxi in a mobile phone. The first part of my review about what it is, why it is much more profitable, more convenient and more interesting than calling a taxi by phone number. Attention, all customers, addresses, phone numbers and drivers in this review are specially fictitious, any connection with reality is an accident.
To become a client of our taxi, you just need to download the application to your phone, enter your phone number and select your city. You need to do this only once, and then you will immediately proceed to submit an application. I will make a reservation in advance that this is a great find for those who often travel between cities - you do not need to look for taxi numbers and communicate with dispatchers.
The technology is designed so that there are no more dispatchers. You are applying directly to taxi drivers. Few people like to talk to dispatchers. It comes across both impolite and incompetent, or simply very tired. Although I sometimes came across exceptions, but rarely. :)
Next you need to choose a city district and fill out an application. Here we went to meet customers by making autocomplete. Here is its essence: the application remembers all the entered addresses, and the next time it automatically substitutes the address as soon as you enter the first letter. The name of the street, the house, and the porch are also substituted. If several options were previously submitted to the same letter, then you can switch between the options with an asterisk.
It turns out that filing an application becomes a matter of only 10-15 seconds.
Applying for a regular taxi will take about the same amount of time. If you come across a competent and sleepy dispatcher, you talk quickly and get through right away, then you can even outperform the application, but such a combination of circumstances is unlikely.
Further, even more interesting. The application directly goes to taxi drivers who are in your area. And here you have a legitimate and undoubtedly very pleasant right to choose a driver who will be honored to take you (by the way, when testing openly, I really liked this privilege).
As you can see from the example, you can choose a car for your personal preferences - either the “coolest” one, or the one that arrives faster than anyone, or at a price if everything is not so good with money. Each driver rides at their own personal rates - they can be indicated as a fixed price, either by mileage or by price per minute. Depends on the city. For example, in Togliatti they ride mostly at fixed rates, but there are firms that work by mileage. Often it will be possible to meet an economical option, because there will be competition between drivers, and some will carry cheap if they are close or for other reasons known only to them.
So, we have chosen a driver. By the way, personally, I don’t know any telephone taxis that offer a choice of cars. I have never seen anything like this (except, perhaps, the capital cities and vip-taxis).
A counter will appear on the screen with a countdown from the time indicated by the driver. You can slowly gather and know when they will come for you. But let's face it - in most cases, the stated time is not true. Most often you go outside, but there is no car on the horizon. We have to wait, which is not very pleasant - bad weather, for example. Or vice versa, you go out, and the driver has long been in place and requires payment for a simple one.
In the application, everything is thought out. As soon as the driver arrives at the place, an inscription appears on the phone, and he also vibrates and beeps - in other words, he informs the client by all possible means that the driver is already at the doorstep. While testing was underway, they called a taxi even for minor matters, because really liked these "features." Surprisingly, the driver only arrived once after the end of the counter.
How long I went in a regular taxi was always the opposite - you get out and wait, there was even a habit of getting out 5-7 minutes later than the dispatcher said (I think most do it). Apparently, the motto of our taxi is fully justified.
Convenience - you can now call a taxi from any noisy places, for example, from clubs. Given that taxis are often called from clubs, this will be a real find for this category of people.
Saving.
The cost of a call through the application:
- GPRS 8p. / Mb
- It takes 5-6 kilobytes to call a taxi. It turns out that this is 5-6 cents.
A phone call is definitely more expensive, if you are interested, you can calculate, depending on your operator. Although this is a trifle, but still nice.
In general, we openly declare:
“We are always ready to listen to the wishes of our customers. The advantage of any application is that it can be expanded to meet the needs and preferences of customers. And we are open to listen and implement them. ”
Another “good” purpose of the application is to give the opportunity to call a taxi to deaf people. Although this is strange, but there is such an opportunity, and a person with disabilities can now take advantage of such a convenient taxi.
Also in the application there is a tab “feedback”, which allows you to establish feedback with customers and constantly improve the service.
So, I tried to describe the obvious advantages of new technologies and our taxi to you, as well as share my own emotions from trips.
