Ping.fm Why are you like this?
I want to clarify right away - this is my first post in a hub, and therefore please do not throw me hats.
Perhaps I’ll start with the fact that this topic was mentioned here (briefly) and here (podcast), but since the publication, the service has grown and gained momentum. Why Ping.fm ?
There are a sufficient number of services that provide cross-hosting in their capabilities, even google buzz can tell tweeters, facebook what you write. But while “buzz” is young, I wrote about Ping.fm.

Which include:
Where you already write, an input field and services that you can use to send to your social networks. Networks
The entire service is built on an intuitive understanding, and does not require any skills - everything is simple and affordable.

Personally, I never write on PING itself - I initially used Hootsuit, but then, when more advanced functionality appeared, I also refused it. But he saves my posts (30 days), and the places where they were added and in what way I got them there.

Add social. Networks. Of course, first you need to register for them (or click on the link from PING so that it redirects you to registration), then you add contacts or activate the protocol and that’s it - the system is ready for BATTLE
As I said, for those who use Hootsuit - you can’t imagine a better place (multi-account, various additional columns). Then you simply connect your PING account to “OWL” and write to your health (I use the “owl” only for clients).
In my personal space, I use Skype or iGoogle. Both methods just ask you for confirmation (but everything is very clear), and voila - you're done!
Of course, SEO, SMO and SMM specialists can supplement my little list, but personally I use cross-hosting for 4 main reasons:
1. Time
We never have enough time to write everything we want and where we want, I don’t even go to tweeter - because it eats too much precious ....
2. Branding
In this vein, I mean personal branding, and promoting myself as a specialist in the market. Each freelancer knows how important his CIRCLE of contacts is, but how to expand this circle? It is social activity.
3. SEO
I am not an expert (with a capital letter) in this direction, but the technologies are clear to me and I successfully apply them. Building social reference mass is now an important factor for ranking by search engines. Of course, it is not key, but the link mass from social services can favorably affect both the increase in traffic and the increase in the position of the site.
4. SMO
Here, the time factor plays for me rather. If I can publish from 1 service to all Social pages or groups that I promote, then of course I will use it.
