The developers of the most popular webOS programs will share the prize of $ 1 million

    Palm has awarded $ 1 million in prizes to software developers who will show a record number of downloads between February 1 and May 31, 2010. The creators of both paid and free programs can claim for a million dollars. In the first case, the total amount of sales is taken into account. For the first place in each of the two categories, a separate prize of $ 100 thousand is established. Another 20 programs in each category will receive $ 10 thousand, and 200 programs will receive $ 1000 each.

    Last year, Palm released the SDK for webOS, and since then, about a thousand applications have been released for Palm Pre and Pixi smartphones. The Project Appetite application catalog is now open , and developers can create mini-shops based on it and track download statistics.

    By the time the Game Developers Conference in March, Palm is about to release an extension for webOS SDK, which allows you to apply source code in C and C ++.
