On December 28, 2009, the rating of CMS - site management systems launched within the framework of the Runet Rating project was launched.

The rating is based on the data collected by the analytical portal of the web development market “CMS Magazine”. The catalog of the CMS Magazine project contains the largest database of sites operating on various management systems. These data, through a personal account, are entered by web studios, CMS representatives, and through a special form on the site are users and site owners. The more sites operate on a particular management system and the higher these sites have authority indicators in terms of search engines, the higher the site management system is in the CMS rating.

Global CMS rating is formedand local ratings by type of sites (corporate sites, online stores, promotional sites, portals and services, blogs, social networks), platforms (IIS, Apache, nginx), type of license (commercial and open-source), “alienation” ("Boxed" and "individual").

Data collection for the rating will be carried out until January 31, 2010 .

The final results of the rating - TOP-50 CMS Runet, will be publicly presented in February 2010. Intermediate results are already available in real time on the Runet Rating project page (http://www.ratingruneta.ru/cms).

All data on the basis of which the CMS rating is built are automatically checked. Verification is carried out using a special robot developed by the Internet agency Business Advertising. The robot checks for the presence of the declared CMS on the site using so-called “fingerprints” - signs that unambiguously confirm the presence of a certain control system on the site.
