Stocking up for the winter

Books are food for the brain of a programmer. And art - dessert. A good book is like a tasty dish that you want to read, stretching out pleasure, to try again and again. But there are a bunch of books that we have not sniffed yet and may never try, because several people did not advise us.

Each has one or two favorite books that others may like, share please infect. I think many will be interested in putting in the queue "for reading" several new ones. Let's arrange a “tasting” of books in the format: one book - one comment. So that others can add to their favorites (and evaluate, and discuss) each book individually.

Make the book bold and don't leave it unimpressed (what is remarkable about it?). Any, even modest and subjective, annotation can affect the choice of reading priority. Be careful, the comment will not be supplemented and will not be corrected subsequently.

If a good author has excellent books, advise one or two, indicative. Because it is difficult to queue the entire author. And to feel like a buridan donkey is also reluctant :)
