Linux Mint 8 Helena was announced yesterday, November 28th!
Version 8 “Helena” is based on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, but differs from the parent by the presence of codecs, flash and other software, mainly closed and media in nature. On Linux Mint, installing skype, google earth, picasa, and other proprietary software is a one-click process. The distribution is 100% compatible with Karmic Koala.
