Supercomputer "Lomonosov"
It is simply amazing that such news passed by Habr.
So, on November 17, 2009 at the next annual Supercomputing 2009 Conference (SC09), held in Portland (Oregon), the 34th edition of the list of five hundred most powerful computers in the world TOP500 was announced .
Well, my friends, it's time to blow the pipes, knock on drums and wave flags - the 12th place on the list is the Lomonosov supercomputer of Moscow State University! For the first time, Russia was so high in the TOP500.
Yes, this is the same computer that they began to mount in the summer, and the cooling system of which took away half the territory of the parking lot near the 2nd academic building of Moscow State University.
Hopefully soon onparallel.ru or on the site of the research computing center ( SRC MSU ) a detailed description of the new machine will appear, but so far we have to limit ourselves to scarce data from the TOP500 site:
Concluding this note, I’ll note all the supercomputers installed in Russia that are on the TOP500 list:
PS1 Thank you UFO for the invitation!
PS2 As the habrayuzer Fesor rightly notes , the news has already passed.
Upd. More detailed characteristics of "Lomonosov" in a different habranovosti .
