Tax reporting online. How to pay taxes without Windows?

    The formulation of the paradox.

This short article is devoted to the problem of the lack of solutions for submitting tax reports via the Internet. To date, the issue is especially relevant, in connection with the legalization of software in many commercial enterprises. As you know, the most inexpensive way to legalize software is to install OpenSource, in particular GNU / Linux. The main problems of launching products from 1C, Garant, Consultant have long been resolved. But the problem of the lack of ready-made solutions for tax reporting via the Internet, oriented to Linux systems, is still not resolved. Moreover, both from the state and from the developers of such software, no steps are being taken to change the situation.

The paradox of the 21st century. Pay everyone a lot or close yourself!

All readers related to accounting or its software maintenance are aware that our government is implementing leaps and bounds in tax reporting via the Internet. And all would be fine, but in the certified software market there are ONLY developments for products (in particular OS) of the well-known "monopolist". After several months of debriefing regarding such injustices, I concluded that Linux-oriented alternatives have not yet been invented. And in the near future it’s not even planned, although the same CryptoPro anti-virus protection for Linux exists. Here's what they write on the CryptoPRO forum. Briefly, the essence of the branch is as follows: CryptoPRO for Linux can be launched and made to work, but the reporting system is not, because for a Linux platform, such a system simply does not exist. Here is a link to the Contour-External forum thread .

What does the Federal Tax Service say?

On the website of the Federal Tax Service there is a list of conditions for a participant in the system for submitting tax and accounting reports in electronic form via telecommunication channels. One of the points reads as follows: “Purchase software that is compatible with the software installed in the tax office, which is registered, and install it on a computer that has Internet access. The necessary software can be provided by the telecom operator within the framework of the contract concluded with the taxpayer. ”

It turns out that the state is OBLIGATING to purchase “software compatible with the software installed in the tax inspectorate, which it is registered with”, OBLIGATES to acquire Windows OS + certified SZI + certified reporting system? If everything is clear with the last two points, then the picture with the acquisition of software that is needed for the work of other software (also not free) that is needed for reporting is not at all clear.

    Preliminary findings.

The conclusion can be formulated in the form of questions to the Federal Antimonopoly Service: Is it correct that the legal (approved by GOST) procedure for submitting tax reports via the Internet will not do without buying and installing exactly Windows + namely CryptoPRO + specifically Contour-External? Q Is it right that the end user is not given the right to choose an operating system for “legitimate” work?

I am 99.9% sure that if the state. structure (in the frequency of the Federal Tax Service), they decide to switch to free software, the issue will be resolved instantly. It turns out it is necessary to wait for the next, and a very large cut of the dough before justice will prevail?

How to pay taxes without Windows?

As an idea, now I am considering the creation of a tax reporting system via the Internet based on Linux (in particular, Debian / Ubuntu). The main question that I would like to understand within the framework of this post is which poles can be (or will be) inserted into the wheels, especially from the state.
