Sokso: myself last.fm

    How many are already looking for, but I just can’t find a normal player. XMMS and clones, Listen Music Player, Rhythmbox Music Player, VLC Media Player, Banshee, mpd + bindings - it’s somehow not all that.

    As a result of google, Sockso was dug up - sockso.pu-gh.com - Personal Music Server for Windows, Mac OSX, Linux platforms.

    Free, open source, “PMS” for everyone and everyone. The main emphasis in the design is made, so that anyone who has a mouse and several MP3s can share music with his friends on the Internet in seconds. A sort of myself last.fm. Sockso Personal Music Server can do today:

    * Without installation. Unfolded the files and rushed!
    * MP3, OGG Vorbis, Flac, and WMA
    * Web interface for friends and a GUI for your loved one.
    * Online flash players, playlists, searches, etc.
    * Download songs, albums, or playlists from your library.
    * Statistics of what was played, the most popular, etc.
    * A "skinny" web interface
    * User and library playlists.
    * Turning off the GUI to run on headless servers
    * UAC (User account control) and own playlists
    * Uploading music to the library via the web
    * Pumps covers for tracks / albums
    * Is able to transcode "output" if there is not enough bandwidth
    * "Cover Flow" style - selection of playlist from envelopes
    * Is able to be friends with last.fm and crawl there
    * Is able to SSL "sparks"
