Sign up for Google Voice
So, you are a resident of the space under the general name “Outside US”, you finally got an invite to Google Voice, and as a decent nerd and a lover of Google services, you really want to register there, give Google money or just get a free number from it in the United States (and why do you need it ?!).
You happily follow the link and read:
But where ours did not disappear! (ours, disappeared everywhere!).
Therefore, the restriction on IP addresses is not a hindrance to us.
We go here (for example) and look for a working proxy with https support (this is important, because it doesn’t let it through http).
I earned 216.147.135.62:80 (I won’t tell you how to register a proxy in Firefox, because the next steps are also not the most banal ones).
Now go to google.com/voice and use the invite that they have been waiting for.
But here's an ambush, in order to create an account in Google Voice you need a working number in the United States of America, because calls to your number that Google will give you will be redirected to this (and potentially other numbers).
But there is no number. (So I immediately rushed for an American SIM-card, but while I was looking for it I remembered that there was no roaming).
The main thing is maneuvers!
We go to the IPKall website and get a number in Washington, which can be forwarded absolutely free of charge to any SIP. In my case, this is anton@merkurov.com, in yours - probably something like 12345@sipnet.ru.
Just in case: SIP Phone Number in the understanding of IPKall is username, and SIP Proxy is a domain.
So, now we have an incoming American number to our SIP.
We feed it to Google.Voice, which calls back and asks for a pair of magic numbers.
Voila.
Your Google Voice account is ready. You can now enter from any country, including and from Russia.
The question of why it is for you remains open.
You happily follow the link and read:
“Google Voice is not available in your country.
Thanks for visiting Google Voice. We're not yet open for users outside the US, but are planning to expand our service to additional countries in the future. „
