Apple policy towards Ukraine or Ukraine policy towards Apple?
I have long been surprised at Apple’s policy towards Ukraine ...
Well, okay, iPhones aren’t sold in Ukraine ... yes, you need to be able to negotiate with operators, and population incomes are not the highest. But the thing is different - the iPod Touch is being sold, quite officially, the firmware was also translated into Ukrainian, the Ukrainian keyboard was installed. Nice of course!
But how so? Ukraine is not in the list of countries supported by the AppStore! That is, programs for the iPod Touch have to either be bought using completely hacked methods or using completely left-handed methods! Not alone to use for free. Is it really impossible to add support for Ukrainian credit cards? For this, it’s not necessary to let the iPhone into Ukraine! Give the opportunity to fully use the functions of devices officially sold by you !!! Yes, at least give the opportunity to upgrade the firmware without resorting to illegal methods of obtaining it !!! ( UPD: Recently released firmware 3.0 for iPod Touch costs $ 9.99 and is sold through the AppStore). You yourself provoke a violation of the law :-(
What you need? Time? When did the AppStore open there? How many revolutions in people's ideas have you made so far? Well, how much longer should we expect a completely logical and very necessary function for the residents of Ukraine?
And even the far from rich Moldova has the opportunity to use the AppStore!
But although this is precisely this information that helps me not to be disappointed in Apple. After all, why Moldova was more fortunate than Ukraine? And because there is an operator Orange! A mobile operator with a name that knows how to negotiate with companies such as the Great Apple ... So maybe not Apple’s policy towards Ukraine, but the policy of our valiant Ukrainian operators who are unable to negotiate with an apple company (or it’s just not very interesting to them) ? Maybe that's why Apple doesn’t want to do business with us? .. In this case, everything is pretty sad - I can’t believe that in the more or less near future there will be changes for the better.
