A tour of the laboratory for the president was conducted by the head of the company, Yevgeny Kaspersky, who on June 12 became the winner of a state award in the field of science and technology. Kaspersky said that he plans to use the award for charitable purposes, and not for the development of his company. The monetary part of the prize - 5 million rubles - he transfers to the boarding school.
Medvedev was shown the work of a number of Kaspersky Lab divisions. In particular, the head of state went into the server room, which automatically analyzes new viruses, stores initial tests of software products, and updates about it are sent around the world. A system for accounting legal users of Kaspersky Lab software products is also maintained there.
