IPSC Programming Championship 2009

On May 30, 2009, the 11th annual Internet Problem Solving Contest programming championship will be held. You can register on the official website at http://ipsc.ksp.sk . I invite all the people interested in sports programming to participate.

    Some information about the contest:
    1. You can participate in one or a team of two or three people. At the same time, any number of computers and any programming languages can be used to solve problems. Separate ratings are being maintained for teams of one person and teams of students. Read more in the rules .
    2. Related tasks are similar to ACM ICPC tasks, i.e. basically an algorithmic plan. The difference from ICPC is that, as solutions, not the source code is sent for verification, but the output data for the given input. Each task has two sets of input data - simple and complex. For solving a simple set, 1 point is given, for a complex set - 2. Tasks, input / output data and decisions of past years can be viewed in the archive .
    3. This contest is very popular among "sports" programmers. By participating in it, you have a chance to compete with the best in the world. For an example read Denis Ostapenko's review of IPSC 2008.
    4. The contest lasts 5 hours. 10-15 tasks are given. The start time in your time zone can be found here . In Moscow it is 16:00.
