Defeat QIWI

    Here mine already wrote about the UI of these machines. And yesterday I had to face him. And fight.
    It seems that usability was tested only on payment for cellular communications.
    Next is just a "cry of the soul" ...

    I needed to pay a loan to Alfa-Bank. We do not have their ATM in the city, there is no representative office either. It is possible through mail, but for a long time. I called the bank, they told me that you can do this through the QIWI payment system.

    To do this, I found the nearest QIWI terminal and set up a Personal Account in it.

    Then I found in the menu “Pay Credit”, filling in the requested data.
    Among the requested data was a card number; expiration date; my date of birth; city ​​of birth; FULL NAME.
    Notice how much extra data, and all of them need to be entered from the on-screen keyboard.

    Then I chose “top up my card account” (as an option I tried to choose “pay a loan”) - to which the system answered me “the wrong number was entered”. Literally, I don’t remember the error text, but he didn’t fit in with the context of loan payment.

    Thinking that the machine probably failed, I went to look for another. After repeating the same operation there five times, I still
    called support. They answered quickly. They explained that you first need to deposit money into the account. I needed to pay a little more than 1000 rubles.

    Mentally slapping himself on the forehead he approached, replenished the account of LK. I repeated the whole procedure for the 6th time and ... AGAIN THE SAME ERROR.

    While I dialed technical support, I was thrown out of the session with LK. I had to repeat the whole procedure again. To dictate an error message to a girl.
    Unfortunately, she could not help me. I asked to check the data and call back. Checked again. Not suitable ... and they cannot help me pay the loan.

    To the question “what am I to do now?” I need this thousand to pay the loan today ”they suggested withdrawing this money to myself through the CONTACT system ... only here is the bad luck .... the commission for withdrawing through CONTACT is 75 rubles ... Well, the time ... it’s not a fact that I would receive the money before the mail closes .

    He spat, went, found more money, paid the loan the old fashioned way, through a slow, but still reliable Russian Post.

    However, the story did not end there ... the Chukchi thought he was smart, and went to the qiwi.ru website .
    He logged in to his personal account, and tried to pay the loan again through it.

    Entered the same billing information.
    Failed to fill in only one field.

    According to the meaning of the inscription, it seems that the field is optional, but without it the system does not take shape.
    When you try to fill it, it does not allow you to enter more than 4 characters there. And as I understand it, you need to enter the date from the card 10/11. At least the terminal had a similar field.
    The “slash” / enter symbol does not give either. And it’s not clear where to enter it if only 4 characters are allowed in the field.

    I thought that maybe Java Script in the browser is buggy. I tried different browsers ... IExplorer 8, Firefox 3.0.7, Chrome 0.1.x, Opera 10 - it doesn’t work the same everywhere.

    I’m sitting and thinking ... how it was possible to design the interface of the machine and the site so that a person would spend half a day to pay for the necessary service through it, talk to tech support, try to do the same through the site, shove, and write a detailed letter to tech support (on which by the way still has no answer) ...
