OLED tree

General Electric engineers are still geeks. They decided to celebrate Christmas and New Year not under a natural crumbling or ordinary artificial, but under an OLED Christmas tree. No sooner said than done . Yesterday a high-tech tree shone with lights.

In order to concoct their Christmas tree, GE first made a long 4.7-meter OLED panel 15 cm wide. A luminous, of course, green light. Then it was twisted and fixed on a rack about two meters high. It doesn’t look authentic, but it's gorgeous anyway.

However, the main goal of the GE comrades (in addition to being able to dance around their techno-miracle) is to demonstrate the potential of OLED technologies and the prospects for their use in lighting systems. In my opinion, they succeeded.
