This assembly leaked to us with PDC. Recently downloaded it and installed it. Now I decided to share with you my impressions of one day of work on this system.

An alternative to the Makovsky dock appeared. Now applications can be attached to the taskbar. You can also drag and drop programs in it. It's nice that this applies not only to “glued” programs.
When I did printskrit, I discovered that there is such a “recent” thing and it is supported by Photoshop. Cool!
Now let's pay attention to the tray .
The language bar remains unchanged. To connect to the network, now you can not get into the start-> connection, and click on the tray icon. Maybe this could be done in Vista, but for some reason I was not used.
Security alerts have also been updated. The tooltip displays the number of warnings according to the version of the system. [offtop] The firewall has grown wiser - now it can differentiate access to various networks [/ offtop]
The sound mixer and mute devices remained unchanged with whists.
Now you can insist which icons will be constantly displayed in the tray : which ones will appear only during warings and messages and which will never appear at all. Customization is also possible in tooltip.
Also to the right of the tray there is an inconspicuous button that minimizes all the windows, and then (cheers) restores all of them to their place. And on win + d now also restores in place. Maybe it was also, but for some reason I did not notice.
Start.
The start menu has really changed very slightly. There are no browser buttons and the default email client. By the way, during installation, I was told that the Mail, MovieMaker and something else third program (forgot :() is not included in Windows now. It seems that the search has changed a little. Yes, while I was making screenshots, I found that the scroll position in the “all programs” tab is remembered A trifle, but nice :)
Desktop.
Gadgets appeared in the context menu. The guys nevertheless decided to abandon the crazy idea of a separate bar for them and now they can be placed directly on the desktop, though I still have not found how to drag them on it. Also added screen resolution.
Conductor.
My computer has got a new explorer bar. In which some “Libraries” appeared - a group consisting of contacts, pictures, videos, ...
The display of files has also changed. It seems that they just changed the color scheme, but it became more pleasant.
Also, a certain display item “Contents” appeared.
A normal preview also appeared.
General opinion.
Everything else remained more or less the same as in Vista.
I will not show standard applications with them so the whole Internet is full. But the tape interface in the wordpad, IMHO, perverted - there is only one tab.
They got up and working perfectly on the system: firefox 3.2 (with all plugins of course), zend studio 6.1, winamp 5.541, photoshop cs3, qip inflinum 9018, winrar 3.X, appsev 2.5.10 (apache 2.2.8, mysql, php5). And also a bunch of all the inconspicuous, which I used to not notice, but put.

In general, I’ll say that it’s not even bad. Especially for Milestone 3. Faster whists or not? I will not say. More likely the same. But it communicates with files much faster. Sometimes there are some "freezes" for 1-2 seconds. But this is not fatal, IMHO.
