YouTube brought comedy shows back in place
On YouTube's video hosting service, clips again are freely hosted by Comedy Central .
YouTube and Viacom (CBS Corporation) have concluded an agreement according to which files containing excerpts from popular American television shows (such as South Park, Laguna Beach and SpongeBob SquarePants) can be freely posted by all users.
Recall that last week these files were deleted . Viacom lawyers sent a letter to YouTube owners asking them to remove the content because their free placement infringes the copyright of Comedy Central.
Thus, the most popular video hosting continued to follow the traditional policy of not deleting content, but concluding agreements with copyright holders to pay compensation.
