Passive studio income. Site support.

There is nothing better than passive income, everyone knows that!

Website development is a project, this is one thing. The budget is relatively high, but the labor costs are significant. After completing the development of the site, it is much more interesting to provide services for the so-called "site support".

The cost of support may be symbolic, for example $ 50 per month, but this is a monthly stable income. As a rule, support comes down to updating content, or setting up mailboxes.
As an option, this can be website promotion, search engine optimization or something else, but the amount of payment increases accordingly.

The main issue that the studio and in particular managers servicing the client may encounter is the need to regularly remind themselves and “create the appearance” of work. Despite the fact that you are fulfilling your obligations evenly, updating content, managing mail or something else ... when the question comes to payment, they often say, “Well, what am I paying for? The work is not visible, and somehow expensive! ”

If the manager were timely (once a week), at least wrote a letter saying that we had done toto and toto. “Send us the latest news!”, “How are you?” There would be fewer such situations and the number of support projects would only increase.

I propose to draw up a list of works, such as 1. updating content or 2. managing mail that actually is not very difficult, but give a “plus” to the big picture.

I would be glad to have a good comment. Thanks!
