WebKit's new build, including SquirrelFish Extreme , has support for SVG animations.
Demo:
when opening the bubbles,
SVG should be moved - an xml-based vector graphics format that allows you to create scalable images (with gradients, transparency and effects like shadows and blur) and animate them.
It is supported to one degree or another by Opera, Fox and Safari.
What about replacing the flash on Ifon ?
