On June 1, researchers at Osaka University's Graduate School of Engineering demonstrated a robot whose sole purpose is to simulate a human child. Scientists hope that this robot will allow them to better understand the process of becoming

“CB2” (as the scientists called the robot), designed in accordance with a 1-2 year old child: he carefully looks at the surroundings, wriggles on the floor and shows other pseudo-signs of children's charm.

With a growth of 130 cm, CB2 weighs 33 kg, the muscle system is replaced by 56 pneumatic cylinders, and the eyes are replaced by cameras. CB2 is equipped with 197 tactile sensors embedded in silicone skin. If you touch CB2, he will blink and turn to consider who is touching him. If a toy gets into his field of vision, CB2 will make every effort to get to it. And he is trying to speak (of course, like all children at his age - in his own language).

PS Of course, Azimov didn’t promise us this, but with what the same thing should begin :)
