“Compress” the Web by filtering the tastiest with Google Reader

But in my Internet this is not!
    (c) some aunt

Many read, many use. The topic is beaten, but periodically it is necessary to give the reader a motivating kick in the ass. Many of my friends working at odesk.com in the office did not even hear such words. And it’s just a shame for me to watch them fill their favorite urls over and over and wait for the necessary FF prompt to pop up.

Google is a stronghold of geeks, and geeks are trying to optimize almost everything they see and use.

I'll tell you how I use it.

I am primarily interested in topics such as productivity, moneymaking, blogging, development, hardware. Creating folders in Google Reader (hereinafter referred to as GR), I can immediately read the extract of the best on a topic of interest. I do not need to store a bunch of links in the Favorites (although I do not store them there, but I use del.icio.us). Once added - and forgot even in the event of an OS crash.

I generally have a long-standing dream from the time of 14.4 kbaud - when using it it does not matter which OS (family, kit in the form of additional applications) you always have what you need at your fingertips, that is, in a browser.

I have my own personal Internet in GR - no porn, almost no ads (hello to the homeless!), No extra traffic, which you still have to pay for in this city, and not a few.

If I once noticed a phrase or word on a topic of interest, I’ll instantly find it in the history of my feeds using search - after all, GR has an almost unlimited cache! If from the first words an article interests me, I mark it with an asterisk and move on. It lies down for me until the weekend or free time - I did not lose it in the flow of information, as if I saved it on a screw (only more reliable - nothing will happen to Google, but the screw will sprinkle at any moment or something interesting will happen to these pieces of iron) .

Why don't I read most of the news right away? Yes, because being in the subject means having about a hundred feeds (one of the creators of GR has more than 300!). I have 66 of them, and even if every day I read it for an hour and thoughtfully, you won’t have time. Hey, don't even try! Don't you really love yourself so much? Or do you have so much free time? Let’s better go over your personal Internet, where there is almost everything to nourish your curious Mosk.

Open GR, click "All Records" - quickly shake, marking and tagging posts of interest. This takes an average of 20-30 minutes. More - if some posts are so interesting that you want to read them on the spot. When you’re so tired in a day that you only last an hour at a computer at home in the evening - that’s it.

But on weekends after cleaning, you can relax, enjoy all the charm of the thoughts of the cream of the Web and with a calm soul go to drink, walk, ride a bike. Personally, I do so.

DON'T FORGET TO CLEAN YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS ONLY IN THE MONTH, PICKING OUT PRACTICALLY USEFUL. By doing this, you not only clear your virtual workplace, but also force us, beginners and probloggers, to feed you regularly and with the most selected intellectual porridge.
