Microsoft touch wall

After yesterday's news about Multitouch Mac OS X, I decided to feed habrappublic with another such invention, this time from direct competitor of Apple itself - Microsoft .

What we see in the video is TouchWall . The same Surface development , only oversized and loaded onto the frame. The device complements the list of touch devices that Microsoft has been working on so actively recently. This “wall”, 1.8 x 1.2 meters in size , works on the basis of inexpensive infrared sensors and a camera hidden behind the back, which can work with different types of surfaces, providing a “touching” operation of the panel.

The company positions the development as a “low-cost solution for those wishing to purchase an intelligent whiteboard,” so we can expect an early start of deliveries to schools, universities, and, possibly, sales to company offices. However, the price does not state.

By reference - the original material and the second video in which Bill Gates announces TouchWall. And nervous .
