Wiring - Computer Network

    ZyXEL Internet technology with HomePlug AV technology
    turns conventional wiring into a computer network

    . ZyXEL Communications introduces
    adapters and Internet centers with HomePlug AV technology for data transmission through
    wiring in the Russian and CIS markets .
    The new ZyXEL adapters and Internet centers use ordinary household
    wiring for data transfer and are designed to create a home network operating at speeds up to 200 Mbps without
    laying additional cables. They are indispensable in cases where the use
    of Wi-Fi wireless technology for networking is inefficient, and provide complete freedom to deploy network
    devices within their own or rented premises, since any electrical outlet
    becomes an entry point to the local network and the Internet.
    The ZyXEL HomePlug AV line of Powerline devices includes the following devices1:
    • P660HWP - an Internet center for connecting via ADSL2 + with an 802.11g Wi-Fi access point, a
    4-port switch and a HomePlug AV adapter;
    • NBG318S - Internet center for leased Ethernet lines with an 802.11g Wi-Fi access point,
    4-port Ethernet switch and HomePlug AV adapter;
    • PLA400 - Powerline adapter HomePlug AV with Ethernet port;
    • PLA470 - Powerline adapter HomePlug AV with 4-port Ethernet switch;
    • DMA1100P - Network media player with Ethernet and HomePlug AV connectivity.
    Intipon's INT6000 / 6300
    Chipset (www.intellon.com), the world leader in the manufacture of chips for
    wiring devices and a key member of the HomePlug Powerline Alliance, is used as the HomePlug AV platform for ZyXEL devices . The choice of the
    HomePlug AV standard and the Intellon element base allowed us to provide the best
    speed indicators relative to competing PLC platforms in the conditions of typical interference from a household electric network. Even in
    problematic cases, HomePlug AV technology provides a real speed of at least 40 Mbps. It
    is the only alternative to a direct Ethernet connection for receiving IPTV and video.
    high definition at an arbitrary point in the house, because in the wireless standards of the 802.11 family and the
    draft version of 802.11n, transmission of broadcast video content (Multicast) provided
    by IPTV operators is not provided. Quality of Service Management (QoS) on the HomePlug AV network
    allows you to watch digital video without delay or loss of quality while transmitting data.
    All presented models are certified by the HomePlug Powerline Alliance, are fully compatible with
    equipment of the HomePlug AV standard of other manufacturers and have all the necessary permits
    for operation in the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Adapters PLA400
    and PLA470 are available to order; sales of P660HWP and NBG318S Internet centers and the DMA1100P media player
    will begin in April 2008.
