Gates' performance at CES 2008 may be the last

Officials responsible for the annual Consumer Electronics Show recently released a list of the world's powerful IT, whose welcoming speeches will open the upcoming CES. Among the other famous characters on January 6, 2008, of course, Bill Gates himself will appear on the scene. This will be the tenth and probably the last speech by the chairman of the board of Microsoft Corporation to visitors to the exhibition.

Speaking to the CES audience has become a tradition for Gates since 1998: since then, the head of Microsoft annually opened his exhibition of consumer electronics with his welcoming speech, having missed it only once - in 1999.

The resignation of Mr. Gates, according to some sources, will take place next year, but so far no one knows the exact date. It is interesting that Bill Gates will leave “big sport”, having lost the official title of the richest man on the planet , which was recently “tried on” by Mexican businessman Carlos Slim. However, the former leader of the list still has a chance to leave beautifully: the issue price is an extra ten billion US dollars.
