Apple + BMW + iPhone

The American branch of BMW announced that the company will be the first manufacturer to ensure full compatibility of its cars with the mobile phone Apple iPhone, sales of which started last weekend. Already now iPhone can be used in models 3 and 5 of the series, released since March 2007, and in X5 SUVs, produced since April. In September, sales of the 6 Series BMW, which also supports the new phone, will begin in the United States, and then integration with the iPhone will extend to other models of the company.

In order for the on-board computer system to be fully compatible with the phone, the BMW Assist system and Bluetooth wireless technology must be installed in the car. And in the event that the car is equipped with a USB adapter, it is also possible to listen to music through the standard interface of a car radio.

Recall that this is not the first example of a successful collaboration between BMW and Apple. At one time, it was the Bavarian company that first announced the full compatibility of its machines with the iPod player.
