Google and EMI signed a cooperation agreement

Google has signed a cooperation agreement with the EMI record company on the possibility of distributing music on the popular YouTube service, while a certain part of the profit will be transferred to the company.
Note that YouTube is often accused of copyright infringement. In order to avoid possible problems, Google decided to go the legal way.
As for the representatives of EMI, they will regularly monitor compliance with the terms of the contract and, if necessary, will be able to terminate it unilaterally at any time.
Note that the record company collaborates with such stars as Coldplay, The Decemberists, Fat Boy Slim, Gorillaz, as well as Norah Jones and David Bowie, so the current agreement is very important for Google.
