Podcasters will pay royalties

    The United States Copyright Royalty Board has established for all who broadcast licensed audio content on the Internet, royalty rates for broadcasting.

    So, broadcasting one song to one listener will cost the podcasters:

    - in 2007: $ 0.0011;
    - in 2008: $ 0,0014;
    - in 2009: $ 0.0018;
    - in 2010: $ 0.0019.

    According to Radio and Internet Newsletter (RAIN) estimates , an average Internet radio station plays 16 songs per hour.
