Web Standards: WaSP Announces International Contact Group

The oldest and most respected project web standartistov ( the WaSP ), uniting in its ranks prominent web developers, has taken the initiative to establish the International Contact Group at the WaSP (WaSP International Liaison Group - ILG ).

Mission ILG

WaSP International Liaison Group (ILG) is an international team of web professionals promoting the widespread use of standards to build a fair Web.

ILG Objectives The

WaSP ILG Contact Group (WaSP ILG) includes representatives from as many countries as possible. The members of the group are called upon to solve the following tasks:

· Discussion and informing the public about web standards and accessibility issues, taking into account customs and laws in specific countries and / or regions.
· Publishing multilingual educational information
· Providing resources on web standards — blogs, books, articles, presentations, code examples, designs, concepts, and guides
· Internationalization of important documents and resources for general use
· Support and intensification of international discussions about the Web
· Study of the current and future use of the Web in a global context
