December was badly littered

Last December, a record increase in spam was recorded. American company Postini Inc. , which filters out “garbage” by filtering traffic, blocked 25 billion spam emails in the mail for 36,000 users. According to the company, this is an unprecedented figure, expressed in a 144% increase in spam volumes compared to December 2005. In the total mass of all letters sent, the share of garbage was 94%.

According to company representatives, such “surges” can seriously hinder labor productivity. So, according to their calculations, hypothetically losses from 15 minutes of daily "raking" of spam mailings can cost large companies up to $ 3,200 per year per employee.
