Nobody needs videos on iPod
It turns out that most owners of iPods absolutely do not need the ability to play videos. According to a survey of 400 device owners conducted by Nielsen Media Research, only 15% of them launched any video on their player.
Interestingly, a third of the iPods surveyed did not have video support. However, this does not even spoil the statistics, which is inexorable: almost 98% of all time, users of Apple players listen to music or audio podcasts.
Journalists of the Ars Technica publication conducted their survey, which showed that this phenomenon is associated not so much with the ignorance of the player’s capabilities as with the low quality of the picture, as well as with the fact that the batteries discharge too quickly during video playback.
