FAS conducts verification in the Moscow office of Lenovo
The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia is conducting an inspection in the Moscow office of Lenovo, reports TASS . The check is carried out in connection with the anti-cartel investigation regarding government procurement of computers.
The head of the anti-cartel department, Andrey Tenishev, mentioned that checks are being carried out against other companies as well. “These are well-known and big companies,” he said. At the same time, the head of the department noted that the leadership of Lenovo impedes the actions of the FAS. “Apparently, there is something to hide,” added Tenishev.
According to RBC , the company and its representatives have drawn up three protocols on obstructing verification. The company is suspected of a large cartel during government procurement of computer equipment, which has been operating for several years.
"No one is detained, no one is being questioned, people just came from the FAS as part of the verification of the received application," a Lenovo representative commented on the situation. The company emphasizes that they are always open to work with any government bodies and structures and always operates within the legal field.
At the same time, representatives of the FAS note that this is “in no way connected with the Microsoft case”. Recall, a week ago, FAS filed a case against the American company Microsoft after receiving a complaint from Kaspersky Lab about abuse of a dominant market position.
