Windows 10 update window interrupted weather forecast

There was a lot of talk that Microsoft was too actively imposing an update on Windows 10: at arbitrary moments of time, a window appears on the screen with the question "Do you want to install Windows 10?". The Windows 10 installer (GWX) uses polymorphic techniques to bypass filters ; Constantly changes user-defined settings and permissions to show the window with the installation suggestion again and again.

A funny incident happened yesterday on the American TV channel KCCI 8. During the morning live broadcast, the meteorologist Metinka Slater informed viewers of new information about thunderstorms that travel through the state of Iowa, warned of rain. A window suddenly appeared on the screen with a suggestion to upgrade to Windows 10 .

Metinka Slater was a bit puzzled: “Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10, what should I do?” She asked in surprise. As always, the update window offered a choice of two options: "Install Now" and "Download Files, Install Later." Meteorologist wisely decided not to choose any of the options, and switched to another video source.

The annoying upgrade of Windows 10 not only prevents ordinary people from living, but has already broken through to television.

To get rid of upgrade reminders, it is recommended to install the free GWX Control Panel program (there is also the GWX Stopper). The program removes the “Get Windows 10” icon from the notification area, prevents the update from being launched on Windows 10 through Windows Update, prevents the hidden background download of the Windows 10 installation files, detects and deletes the hidden Windows 10 installation files if they have penetrated the computer, monitors the appearance of other files and system settings related to Windows 10.

Microsoft is going to support Windows 7 and release security updates until 2020, so now there is no special need to install the update.
