WebMoney suspends operations to withdraw money from ruble wallets to bank accounts
Users of the Webmoney payment system for about two weeks complain about the impossibility of withdrawing money from ruble wallets to bank accounts. Various guesses have been expressed on the forums on this subject, but now the situation has become clearer. The fact is that the problem is caused by the transition of the company to a new legal model, write Banki.ru.
“The WMR guarantor does not temporarily withdraw WMR to the bank accounts of individuals in connection with the transition to a new legal model,” the company’s press service informs. At the same time there are no problems with the withdrawal of funds for exchangers. The solution to the issue of withdrawing funds from ruble wallets can be exchanging wmr for wmz or other equivalents of foreign currencies, with a withdrawal on a card or an account with a similar currency.
A similar situation was observed in March of this year, when ruble funds could not be withdrawn to a bank account either. In March, the problem was caused by a check by the Bank of Russia of the Conservative Commercial Bank (KKB), which is a WebMoney settlement bank. A few days later, Webmoney users were again able to withdraw ruble funds to bank accounts.
Representatives of the Webmoney system claim that the problem is temporary now, and soon users will be able to withdraw funds to cards and bank accounts.
