In the very "fonering" zone of Chernobyl may begin to develop alternative energy
It is also planned to develop the “tourism direction”

Andrey Bilyk, General Director, Technical Engineer of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, said at today's briefing that the most contaminated part of the Chernobyl zone could receive industrial status this fall, writes RBC-Ukraine . “The plans are to organize an industrial zone within the 10-km exclusion zone in order to fully realize its potential. In the autumn, I hope, there will be a corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, ”he said.
Bilyk also said that it is about the implementation of projects for the development of "green" energy, and not the construction of industrial facilities. “The placement of alternative energy sources is real,” he said.
"This will provide an opportunity to develop alternative energy in more polluted lands - this is wind energy, solar panels ... The rest of the territory will become a reserve if such a decision is made," said Vitaly Petruk, head of the State Agency for Exclusion Zone Management.
A detailed program for the development of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exclusion zone will be presented in May. It is also planned to develop such a sphere as tourism, as Petruk reported. “We will develop the direction of tourism with the attraction of private capital,” he added.
