Today on one of our sites an unexpected error was found in the developer's console:
This is a counter from mail.ru trying to send statistics. The problem is that we did not explicitly connect this counter and did not intend to connect it anywhere. In our code, no mention of the address top-fwz1.mail.ru or its variations was found. So some other plug-in script loads the counter without our knowledge.
The solution to this riddle is simple: the community widget from vk.com now out of corporate solidarity helps mail statistics to be more representative.
