Open lecture evening on game design at HSE

    In the evening program:

    • 19: 00-20: 10 “Producing game development” , Konstantin Sakhnov, managing partner of DatCroft Games.

      - The role of the producer in game development;

      - What tasks does the game producer solve?

      - What skills are needed to become a producer of games;

      - Cases from the work of the game producer: problems and methods for solving them in practice;

      - How to become a game producer.
    • 20: 20-21: 30 “Player Psychology” , Oleg Dobroshtan, Development and Training Director at 101XP.

      - Intro. Homo Ludens. The man is playing. Why do people play games ?;

      - What is the psychological appeal of games ?;

      - Pros and cons of games in terms of psychology;

      - Psychotypes of players according to Bartle. Pros and cons of the model;

      - Why take into account the player’s psychotype in game development;

      - Psychotypes and work with them in publishing and marketing.
