Mechanical techno - how does it work?

As Wikipedia tells us, “Techno is a style of electronic music that originated in the mid-1980s in Detroit and its environs and was subsequently picked up by European producers. It is characterized by artificial sound, an emphasis on mechanical rhythms, repeated repetition of the structural elements of a musical work. ”

Juan Atkins, one of the founders of the style, said that techno-style music sounds like technology. In most cases, technical music is played on electronic instruments, created on a PC in a special software, where there are separate samples from which the entire melody is collected. But all this can be accomplished with the help of improvised means, most of which can be taken from the physics office of the native university. In continuation - an example of one such work.

Probably, creating such music in this way is longer than doing the same on a computer or a DJ console. But how much iron! And you need to have straight arms.

But not techno at all, but this video does not become less fun.

Well and still the classic reproduced by means of a heap of disk drives .
