Mobile applications for immersion in school science

The subjects of the natural science cycle, complex in themselves, sometimes have a reputation for boring and uninteresting disciplines. But almost always there are positive emotions in a lesson if any experiment was demonstrated on it. And today, for experiments in physics, chemistry (or any other subject on which an experiment can be conducted) offers the most interesting solutions, for example, such as digital laboratories, and, of course, the corresponding software. We also include mobile applications that can be used by both schoolchildren to independently study the depths of school subjects, and recommended by teachers to increase the level of interest in the subject.

It is possible to better understand the essence of physical phenomena by visualizing these phenomena. This feature is offered by the Physics at School Android application. On simple and clear animated videos, the child will learn the various laws of physics, natural phenomena. An inclined plane, Newton's laws, a system of blocks, the law of Archimedes, gravity - and this is not all sections of physics that the program will demonstrate. The application can be recommended by teachers to show that physics is an interesting science, and in no way boring and incomprehensible, as it seems at first glance. Of course, if you submit it in a more visual form of study, and not as they do in most schools.

    Kids Science Experiment Ideas
    Developer: Gameiva

Chemistry will also seem to students as an equally interesting science. But only if the application "Children Science Experiment Ideas" is added to boring books. Excellent animation and a game form of presentation of material will appeal to children and inspire them to study chemistry at school. Importantly, recommendations for each experiment are given in the appendix, and upon its completion, a summary and conclusions are made to better understand the purpose of the experiment. The application can be used even by teachers from elementary school, making it part of a scientific project in the school.

    The human body
    Developer: Tinybop Inc.

This application for students will help you immerse yourself in the anatomy of the human body. Children learn about how the human body works from understandable animations. The application shows how the respiratory, cardiovascular, muscular and other systems of the human body work. Even such an everyday process as eating is very difficult to imagine. The program in an understandable way will show children what happens when food enters the body.

Informatics teacher Magomedshapi Dibirov * helped us identify the next application in our selection of useful study apps. As an educational consultant at Polymedia, he gave his recommendations based on personal experience using the application in teaching activities.

To say that SPARKvue just takes readings from the sensors and shows the values on the screen is like saying nothing. The SPARKvue application (for installation, by the way, you need to download at least 100 MB of data) fully implements functions such as collecting data from sensors, various options for displaying data (graph, table, digital display, scale), analysis, data processing (as received from sensors , and custom), including using an additional mathematical apparatus. The application includes functions for creating, storing, transmitting laboratory work scenarios (analogy to a presentation with additional functions for working with sensors and elements of the testing system), program functions for distributing data to teacher’s gadgets both within the office’s local network and over the Internet. The program is available for installation for free. The application correctly recognizes the built-in sensors of the device (position sensor, built-in microphone, cameras), which allows you to try it out even without external digital sensors.

Using the above applications, teachers will be able to add variety to the presentation of the lesson material, and children are more likely to want to delve into a complex subject if it helps to have fun and exciting school time. About which applications we have included in the selection of useful applications for schoolchildren, among which are applications for the best organization of their educational activities, read the article here .
