American farmer discovered the remains of a mammoth in his field

A farmer who owns a plot of land in Michigan and grows soybean in this field, discovered the remains of a woolly mammoth buried under a layer of soil . Paleontologists examining the remains of the animal and the burial place are sure that the mammoth was placed by the ancient inhabitants of Michigan in a kind of primitive refrigerator about 10,000 years ago.

Farmer James Bristle discovered the mammoth by accident - he made a fence by digging holes in his yard and found something that turned out to be a huge rib. The farmer immediately turned to scientists from the state of Michigan, who conducted further excavations. According to Daniel Fisher, the head of the excavation, mammoths lived in this region 15,000-11700 years ago. And the age of the mammoth, whose remains were discovered by a farmer, was about 40 years old.

In the soil they found a skull, tusks, pelvis, spine, areas of the shoulder blade and one patella. Everything else, according to scientists, was either buried in another place or eaten by ancient people who killed this mammoth.

Dr. Fisher believes that the ancient inhabitants of Michigan kept the uneaten parts of the mammoth in the pond. Fragments of a stone tool and three large boulders, possibly used as anchors, were found near the skeleton. Further study of the location of the find can provide more information about the life and diet of the ancient people who inhabited this region thousands of years ago.
