The Russian company SBA Music Publishing, a member of Warner Music, has sued Rostelecom and NTV to demand four million rubles for using Song 2 from Blur in an ad from zabava.ru . The Moscow Arbitration Court rejected the lawsuit in August 2014, and the appellate court upheld the decision in February 2015. The Intellectual Property Court on July 22 upheld the acts of other courts.

“SBA Music Publishing” could not prove in court that Blur’s Song 2 was used in advertising. According to the courts, the video uses an audiovisual work called Song 2 Giorgio Prezioso & Marvin and a musical work created by the creative work of Christopher Martin Preston Veit.
