Aircraft stylized as R2D2
The Star Wars VII ad campaign is gaining momentum: a teaser for the movie was released yesterday, April 16 , but that’s not all. The Japanese company ANA announced the development of a new design for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which will be stylized as the cutest robot in history (after WALL-E, of course) - R2D2, reports Theverge.com .
According to the developers, it was not too difficult. Both objects - the plane and the robot, have a conical shape, so there were no special difficulties in styling the aircraft under the character of Star Wars.
ANA says the current project is part of a five-year campaign to popularize Star Wars and there may be more such aircraft in their fleet. It is planned that the Boeing "R2D2" will begin its work on international routes this fall.
