Kodak will introduce in January a smartphone under its own brand

Kodak, a long-dying, but still surviving company, is returning to the digital device market to compete with those who nearly killed it - smartphone manufacturers.

At the January exhibition of electronic gadgets CES 2015 in Las Vegas, the company will introduce an android-smartphone under its brand. Of course, the device’s feature will be a photo - probably that’s why it looks more like a soap box than a phone:

It’s hard to refrain from commenting, but we will try - is it really beautiful inside?

Of course, there were no miracles: the R&D of the new smartphone was not answered by Kodak himself, but by the Bullit Group, whose specialization is the development of mobile devices for brands that have no relation to the mobile market. The most famous work of the young (founded in 2009) company is the Cat series of secure smartphones for Caterpillar, a manufacturer of construction equipment . Apparently, the lack of grace in features is the Bullit trademark:

    Cat B15, the tractor driver’s dream, costs $ 300.

Now Kodak shared his brand with Bullit. Nothing about the new smartphone, except that it will work under the latest version of Android, is unknown. But some plans for the future are known: in the second half of 2015, companies want to introduce a mobile device with 4G, a tablet and a lens connected to them.

The path from resurrection to new products at Kodak took exactly one year :

financial affairs of the company are not so bad: creditors got shares of the renewed company, which significantly reduced Kodak's monetary debt. Plus, the patent package was sold for half a billion dollars, and investors poured another 844 million dollars into the company. All this led to the renewal of the company, and, as mentioned above, to Kodak getting out of bankruptcy. I would like to hope that the company has something to offer the world, and news about the company will appear more than once on Habré.

Well, the news has appeared. Are they good? via
