Wearable from CES: Garmin, Fossil, HTC. A selection of gadgets from the ending exhibition

This CES, if we talk about wearable gadgets, turned out to be quite predictable, so even announcing individual posts would be a lot of shame. Nevertheless, it seems that this is pulling on the selection, and we invite you to a short tour on the announcements of wearable gadgets from the ending CES-2016.

Frankly speaking, there were essentially no new names. Croise arrived again from the IFA Berlin . It’s a very good analogue of Xiaomi with a pulse, although it also has a screen and the ability to measure temperature.

The cosmetic brand L'Oreal made an interesting presentation, which presented, in partnership with the creators of the Ringly ring, an elastic photosensitive “wearable gadget”, a sticker that assesses the impact of ultraviolet radiation.

The rest are all familiar names: Garmin, Fossil, Misfit, Withings and others.

Many, of course, performed with several devices at once. Moreover, with the same Withings, for example, an infrared thermometer was taken with much greater interest than a “tenacious” fitness tracker with an E-ink display. The model is called "Go".

It was pleasant to observe that Misfit finally abandoned the compass as the main tool of its designers and introduced a non-circular fitness tracker. True, it is likely that the compasses migrated to the company that bought Misfit, Fossil, which presented a round analog smart watch with vibration notifications and light indication.

Also, several devices were shown by Garmin at once, and if we expect Fenix 3 with a heart rate monitor, then, for example, Tactix Bravo is intriguing. The model is addressed not only to athletes, but also to the military, and, it seems, some kind of state contract is planned here! Is this so? It is not clear, but the key features of the model are not at all sports: compatibility with night vision devices, storing up to 1,000 points on the route, increased shock resistance and water resistance!

In our opinion, the Mio brand, which offered a cheap fitness bracelet ($ 99), but with a heart rate monitor, was successful and expected. Cheap, of course, relative to the entire previous line, Alpha, Link and Fuse. The model, dubbed Slice, not positioned as sports. The gadget will count steps, calories, distance, take a pulse measurement, receive a notification. Again, it's quite a competitor to the updated Striiv Fusion Bio , Croise or mi Band.

HTC bracelet prepared in tandem with Under Armor looks much worse and less profitable against this background. Other things being equal, such a device will cost about $ 400 . The only thing that can justify it is the ability to synchronize with other devices and clothes of the second partner.

Among the smart watches, it was interesting to hear the announcements of Razer, for whom the “lull” with bracelets did not hinder the presentation of the watchwith "two" screens. They are made in a recognizable style, green, and the second screen is designed for notifications or viewing activity. Work with iOS and Android gadgets.

About Android Wear, it is worth saying, firstly, that Huawei has fulfilled its promise and showed female models. But I still have not heard about Sony, it seems they will not show the promised .

Also on Android Wear will run a model from Casio .

Alcatel again performed very poorly, however, very consistently. At CES, they showed smart watches for adults, this time for children .

Your smart watch has appearedand Fitbit, although the week was a difficult one for them. Following the enthusiasm for the model, a class action lawsuit flew over them due to unacceptable inaccuracies in the heart rate monitor.

And in the finale it is worth saying that the next CES without Apple pleased with a parody model. Swiss watchmakers showed this week a model called a tribute to the company. There are no smart functions, the cost is $ 24,000. Only 50 models promise. It is called symbolically Alp Watch.
