Look, LETV!
The New Year time seems to have reached its climax. In our case, this means that we have prepared a lot of interesting proposals. Not so long ago, we wrote about the new ZUK Z1 smartphone, already available for order, and today we decided to talk about several TV news from the well-known Chinese manufacturer LETV. We share information about new products not only because the TVs turned out really cool, but also because JD was the first of the cross-boarders to launch authorized sales of Smart TV LETV TVs.
Conventionally, new items can be divided into two categories. LETV X3-50 3D 4K LED and LETV X3-55 4K LED are the most powerful, productive and, accordingly, more expensive. LETV X3-40 FHD LED , LETV X3-43 FHD LED - less advanced in terms of hardware power and less overall. Moreover, all models of the line have many common features.
In the beginning, it is worth saying that TVs do not support the DVB-T2 digital broadcast standard, which means that watching domestic TV on these models is not provided. However, we are talking only about the means “out of the box”, since there are probably ways to level this disadvantage. On top of that, these are “smart” TVs and lowering their potential to trivial viewing of TV channels is not entirely correct.
All four TVs received dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz, 802.11 a / b / g / n), LG-produced LED-backlit screens, and the Letv UI software platform based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The latter, coupled with the hardware "stuffing" allows you to play various multimedia content and enjoy all the delights of Smart TV including Internet streaming services and surfing. Everything else, the platform will allow you to seamlessly connect a gamepad, keyboard and other peripherals for various purposes thanks to the presence of Bluetooth 4.0.
Specifications:
LETV X3-55 is the flagship model of the line with the largest diagonal of 55 "and powerful filling. So, the TV runs on a powerful 4-core Cortex-A17 processor with a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz and has a 4K screen with a viewing angle of 178 degrees.
The screen frames are quite thin - 6.9 mm on the sides, 11.5 mm on top and 13.8 mm on the bottom. The working area is thus 54.64 inches. The TV itself, like all models of the line, is made of plastic with aluminum elements. In this case, the front of the TV is made of aluminum. The thickness of the panel is 15.5 mm, and the maximum thickness given the block with the filling on the back of the TV does not exceed 46 mm.
The LETV X3-55 is also notable for its advanced stereo system, which includes six 20W speakers, as well as Dolby Audio and DTS Premium Sound systems. All this is supported by fiber optic sound output.
Specifications:
LETV X3-50 while maintaining all the above features is inferior to the previous model in diagonal size and processor clock speed. However, there is support for 3D and a 178-degree viewing angle along with 4K resolution here just in time. A branded pair of 3D glasses is included. Speaking of configuration, all models except the LETV X3-50 include the same set of components: remote control, 3-in-1 connecting cable, power cord, as well as a stand.
In the case of the LETV X3-50, the stand has an arched shape and this can be considered a hallmark of powerful models ( LETV X3-55 is equipped with a similar stand). Also, all models support VESA mounts.
The design of the LETV X3-50 is exactly the same as the 55-inch model. Here, the same thickness of the frame, and the TV design itself is made in such a way that the panel is visually separated from the unit with hardware and ports as if they were two separate devices. This solution justifies itself in the sense that when viewing even from a wide angle, the user is unlikely to be able to notice anything other than a thin panel.
Specifications:
LETV X3-43 is not inferior in performance to the two older models, but is simpler. This is manifested primarily in the reduced to 43 inches diagonal, the absence of 3D and 4K resolution. There is also a more simplified sound system, including two speakers of 8 watts. As for the LETV X3-40 , this is the youngest model in the line, which differs from the LETV X3-43 in its exclusively reduced to 39.56-inch panel and lower price tag.
In addition to a significantly low price in relation to the senior representatives of the line, it is worth noting the reduced dimensions: the panel thickness is 12.5 mm (maximum 38.5 mm), the thickness of the frames at the top, left and right is 6.9 mm, at the bottom - 11.5 mm. Instead of metal parts, everything here is made of plastic, and the curved stand is replaced by a more minimalistic simple form.
The design of the LETV X3-40 and LETV X3-43 is made in a single form factor, and the unit with connectors is not as veiled as in older models. In general, this is a more classic type of TV for those who are not ready to keep a futuristic thing in their living room.
